072425 Girl ScoutsCHARLOTTE — Girl Scouts at St. Matthew Church in Charlotte held their annual Girl Scout Mass to celebrate Girl Scout Week. Father John Allen was the celebrant at his final Girl Scout Mass at St. Matthew, as Scouts, leaders and parents thanked him for his support over the past five and a half years.

Catholic religious awards developed by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry in Washington, D.C. were earned by the following Girl Scout Troops: Teagan Ryan of Troop 1488 earned the Family of God award; nine Juniors in Troop 3497 earned the I Live My Faith award; and three Seniors in Troop 2265 and four in Troop 1768 earned

The Spirit Alive award. Junior Girl Scouts Avery Ploch, Carter Ruff, Annie Mae Ryan, Hailey Santagata and Hannah Sudeep of Troop 1487 and Genevieve Rauscher of Troop 3180 were recognized for earning the Girl Scout Bronze Award, the first of the three Girl Scout highest awards.

Members of Daisy Troop 318, Brownie Troops 1488 and 2035, Junior/Cadette Troop 1487 as well as parishioners Genevieve and Penelope Rauscher earned The My Promise, My Faith award developed by Girl Scouts of the USA.
