CHARLOTTE — The N.C. Knights of Columbus recently donated $2,334 to the Diocese of Charlotte in support of its prison ministry.
The funds were collected during the Convention Mass at the 105th Annual N.C. Knights of Columbus State Convention May 17 in Raleigh and presented to Bishop Michael Martin July 17.
The funds will support the diocese’s ongoing efforts to provide spiritual care, sacraments and pastoral care to those who are incarcerated.
“We are honored to support the diocese’s mission to bring hope and healing to those behind bars,” said State Deputy Sergio Miranda. “In doing so, we not only serve our brothers and sisters in Christ, but also live out the Gospel call to see the face of Christ in every person – especially the forgotten and the marginalized.”
CHARLOTTE — Retrouvaille Marriage Help will offer a weekend program Oct. 3-5 in the Charlotte area. The program offers hope and healing for those in a struggling marriage.
