- At least 250 people in 6 states died due to the storm – 108 confirmed dead in North Carolina.
- Over half of the counties in the Diocese of Charlotte were designated FEMA disaster areas, and 44 of the diocese's 93 churches are located inside this territory.
- Online donations for long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts have surpassed $13 million, including $3.2 million from Catholic Charities USA. People from all 50 states plus six other countries have contributed. Join in giving.
- Over the next 22 months, Catholic Charities is continuing direct case management that will cover a variety of long-term needs and work with partners to rebuild 150 additional homes.
- A “sister parish” program has been connecting churches unaffected by the storm with those facing the challenges of long-term recovery.
