CHARLOTTE — Students celebrate the Feast of All Saints by dressing up as saints — holding parades and making presentations about the saints they are honoring.
On All Saints Day, we pray to the saints, known and unknown, that they continue to help and guide us along our path to salvation.

St. Matthew School
Second graders at St. Matthew School brought the saints to life on Wednesday. Each student created a saint shield, shared stories of their chosen saint’s virtues, and joined a procession during Mass. During the homily, Father Patrick Cahill reminded everyone to look to the saints for guidance in living lives of faith and virtue.
St. Gabriel School
The second graders at St. Gabriel School in Charlotte brought the communion of saints to life on Wednesday. Dressed as their chosen saints, they processed into Mass and later gathered outside to share their stories. Parents joined in the fun — each saint wore a ‘press here’ sticker, and with a simple tap, the students came to life, reciting facts about their holy heroes. It was a joyful celebration of faith, education and imagination.
Our Lady of the Assumption School
The Art Club at Our Lady of the Assumption School got creative by designing their own Sugar Skulls. Guided by art teacher Rachael Wilken, students learned the rich history behind this tradition that reminds us to aspire for eternal life with God in heaven before crafting their own colorful, one-of-a-kind designs.
