062626 RV1CHARLOTTE — St. Joseph’s Primary Care, a Raleigh-based Catholic nonprofit dedicated to providing accessible and affordable primary healthcare to those in need, pulled its service RV into the Diocese of Charlotte’s Pastoral Center parking lot on June 23.

During the visit, Charlotte Bishop Michael Martin blessed one side of the RV, adding to a previous blessing Raleigh Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama gave to its other side. The bishops split the blessing because the nonprofit is based in Raleigh but assisted with Helene relief in the Charlotte diocese and hopes to do more in the area.

St. Joseph’s Primary Care was founded in 2014 by Peter Le. In 2025, Le received the prestigious Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice award, the highest papal honor that can be bestowed upon a member of the laity.
