CHARLOTTE — Eight Charlotte Catholic High School student-athletes signed their college letters of intent today, representing football, soccer, and cross country/track. Some are staying close to home, while others are heading across the country, but all are taking the next step after years of discipline, sacrifice and belief.
Dominic Basrawala – Air Force Academy – Football
Zach Deblitz – Hampden-Sydney – Soccer
Carter Garnett – Johns Hopkins University – Football
Lukas Lupinski – Columbia University – Football
Margueritte McPhillips – Connecticut College – Soccer
Caden O’Neill – Furman University – Football
Duncan Smith – Washington and Lee University – Cross Country/Track
Keanen Teeter – Lenoir-Rhyne – Football
It was a special moment today for Margueritte McPhillips, whose signing falls on the day celebrating girls and women in sports. A reminder that opportunity belongs to everyone who earns it. Once a Cougar, always a Cougar.
