The Jubilee Year 2025: Pilgrims of Hope was inaugurated by Pope Francis with the opening of the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome on Dec. 24, 2024, and concluded by his successor, Pope Leo XIV, on Jan. 6, 2026. Rooted in the Old Testament call to rest, forgiveness and renewal, the Holy Year invites pilgrims to pass through the Holy Door as a symbolic journey from sin to grace.
