GREENSBORO — St. Pius X Parish celebrated St. Francis of Assisi Oct. 4 by bringing his hometown of Assisi, Italy, to the church parking lot.
There was plenty of lasagna and cannoli to go around.
Italian music filled the air, while chalk artists designed their own Picassos inspired by St. Francis.
The day was filled with games, bocce tournaments, and even photo opportunities with a backdrop of gondolas in Venice.
The day of activities had everyone saying, “Grazie, San Francesco!”
