CHARLOTTE — An intrepid group of pilgrims completed the first-ever Carolina Camino, walking over 145 miles over 10 days from Asheville to Charlotte, arriving at the Diocese of Charlotte’s Eucharistic Congress on Sept. 6.
The pilgrimage took them to all three Jubilee Year pilgrimage churches: St. Lawrence Basilica in Asheville, St. Patrick Cathedral in Charlotte, and Mary Help of Christians Basilica in Belmont.
The group said they were blessed with mild weather and good roads throughout the journey.
