Students celebrate Catholic Schools Week

St. Gabriel students get special visitors
CHARLOTTE — Officer Peter Grant of the Charlotte Police Department visited the first grade and spoke about his role in our community along with safety and other important information.
He was among 20 or more professionals who took time out of their day to speak to the children at St. Gabriel School during Catholic Schools Week.
A CMC Medicenter Air Helicopter landed in the school's parking lot with two flight nurses and the pilot aboard. The students got to ask questions and take a tour of the helicopter. Mrs. Sullivan's 4th grade class is pictured taking a tour of the helicopter.
Thursday was School Spirit Day. During the Teachers Vs. 5th grade volleyball game, special visitors included the CCHS Cougar, the Holy Trinity Bulldog and Holy Trinity Cheerleaders came to help pep up the students. Father Andre also showed his volleyball skills by playing with the students.
Students at St. Gabriel finished the week with a talent show lead by parent volunteers Donna Green, Kerri Firestone. The show "The St. Gabe Factor" 
featured more than 50 acts this year. This picture is a group of girls performing at the early show.
