The bishops were: Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone of Charleston; retired Bishop David B. Thompson of Charleston; Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of Raleigh; retired Bishop J. Kevin Boland of Savannah, Ga.; Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer of Savannah; Bishop Peter J. Jugis of Charlotte; Auxiliary Bishop Luis R. Zarama of Atlanta; and Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory of Atlanta.
